Awesome Admin Assistant Needed ASAP!
No Experience Necessary!
Peoria Office - (Job Posted February 1, 2019)
Hi, my name is Nicholas di Caro and my company is DICARO & ASSOCIATES, LLC. We buy, hold, and sell mortgage notes, trust deeds, and land contracts in all 50 States from our Peoria Office. The entire office staff in Peoria will consist of YOU (my Awesome Assistant) and Me (Owner and Founder).
I can train most smart people how to do this job in about 1 week. However, the training is on-going and will never end. We are a growing company, hence our systems, methods, and tasks will change and improve over time.
People call us and email us everyday who need to be 1) Entered into our database, 2) Then they must be called and information gathered, 3) After gathering the information, it must be emailed to me and posted in our database software 4) And an appointment set to speak with me. (This is 80% of the job)
Additionally, existing clients must be emailed updates and called to remind them to send in documents. Many times the documents they send us are out of order, and missing pages, which will need to be organized. (This is 10% of the job) (The remaining 10% is any other task I need completed). We do NOT cold call people, however, you need to be comfortable calling people and making a friend on the phone.
Much of the work is pretty easy, however, the #1 skill I am looking for is a “high level to self-learn”. In other words, I need someone who can “figure things out on your own” without any direction from me. You are welcome to get direction from anywhere or anyone else in the world, however, if you need me to first figure out a task and then show you how to do it, then I could have just done it myself… which I don’t want to do. For example: I may tell you to “Find out the unpaid property taxes for 555 Jefferson St. Phoenix, AZ and send me an email on it”. ( I will point you in the right direction and verbally tell you the basic steps, but you will probably need to get on the phone with the county where the property is located and call a few county departments to find the right department. This is public information which can also be obtained from some county websites, as well. ) Or, I may tell you to “Find out the name and contact information for the owner of a certain website”. ( I will always be available for any new questions, but after you’ve been employed for a while, and I find that I’m repeating myself, then this isn’t the position for you ). I need to spend my time on marketing, closing deals, and growth projects. The daily tasks will mostly be data entry, basic administrative tasks like sending emails, organizing files, and calling people who have requested information from our website.
Mandatory Requirements:
1. Must speak & write excellent English – Great Communicator – Direct Communicator (Ability to get your point across quickly)
2. Must be able to work with minimal supervision
3. Must be proficient in Gmail, MS Word and basic MS Excel (we rarely use Excel though)
4. Detail Orientated!
5. Quick Learner! Self-Learner!
6. Ability to Follow a Set of Written or Oral Instructions!
7. 40 Words Per Minute Typing Skills
8. Honest, Friendly, and Good Attitude!
9. Ability to “Figure Things Out” NOT an Excuse Maker
10. Not afraid of using or learning new software
11. Not afraid of talking to people (candidate is a “People Person” Cannot be Timid!)
12. You must own your own Car with a valid Driver’s License
13. Non-Smoker ONLY (No Tobacco & No Marijuana)
14. Lives in Greater Peoria Area ( I generally won’t accept snow or weather related excuses for not coming into work, unless I’m not coming into work, which is possible)
15. Willing to do ANYTHING that is asked of you (as long as my request is Legal, Ethical, and Moral – which they ALWAYS will be. For example: Write a Press Release / Article / Summary using the information I give you. Read a book and write a 2 page Summary. ( I probably will never ask those things of you… but I might) Maybe… Pick up my dry cleaning, go to the post office, pick up some sandwiches, or go to Office Max / Walgreens and buy a list of things (I will give you gas money and pay you the same hourly rate for your time, however, I’m not paying extra for “wear-and-tear” on your car.)

If you are chosen for the job, your first week will be training (We are a small company and you will be working directly with me. You will be paid for your training time.)
HOURS:
This is a FULL TIME Position. (I believe the traditional 40 hour work week to be excessive)
30 hours per week.
Monday - Friday. 9am to 3:30pm.
(30 minute unpaid lunch, however, I will provide lunch every Friday)
(You can take a 10min paid break at 10:30am and 2pm)
